Curriculum

The Work. Life. Leader. curriculum is unique in it’s holistic nature, addressing professional, personal and leadership competencies to support overall effectiveness, satisfaction and impact.

The yearlong program is made up of three core components:

  • Monthly Executive Coaching Sessions: Plus an introductory foundation coaching session and three additional hours of just-in-time support, for a total of 16 hours of executive coaching. These sessions are held via phone or Skype. Fieldwork after each session facilitates learning and integration of new behaviors.
  • Monthly Training Sessions: Subject Matter Experts delivering content on a wide array of relevant topics to the cohort of leaders.
    • Four sessions take place in person at your company location, to encourage greater interaction, connection and expansion of the professional network among the cohort. These occur once per quarter for 6 hours. This is the only in-person component enhancing ease of participation for a dispersed workforce.
    • The remaining eight 1½-hour sessions are held virtually via an interactive web-based platform. Participants can be anywhere in the world, saving travel time and budgets.
  • Monthly Group Coaching Sessions: With the cohort of leaders and Program Facilitator/Executive Coach, Julie Cohen. These are held in conjunction with the Monthly Training Sessions, so four will be in person and the remaining eight will be virtual.

Pre-Launch Month:

  • Virtual Orientation – Initial introduction to the program and expectations.
  • One-hour Foundation Executive Coaching Session – Initial executive coaching session to meet coach and plan for the year ahead.

Work. Life. Leader. Competencies

Throughout the year, participants will be developing competencies in a variety of ways, through: training sessions; group coaching sessions; and executive coaching sessions. While the training session topics are predefined, there are more than 50 competencies that participants can address with their coach and in group coaching. Participants select which competencies are most relevant to them, their current situation and their future goals to create the agenda for their coaching sessions.

The Work. Life. Leader. competencies include: influencing others, risk taking, values exploration, managing conflict, strengths development, expanding creativity, managing stress, to name a few.
